Take a moment during your day buy some fantastic eggless cupcakes, chocolate, strawberry and orange flavours!

We’ll be floating around SAF so look out for us! If you’re on campus a little later then come along to Sherfield from 3pm where we’ll be selling from a stall to the rest of Imperial.

TUESDAY ~ KARAOKE EVENING

Fancy yourself as a singing king/queen? Prove it! Find out how good a singer you REALLY are with rounds of karaoke in SAF. With games ranging from Bollywood Singstar to Antakshri come challenge your friends in what will be a hilarious evening. If you’re the next INDIAN IDOL – this is YOUR event. Prizes and forfeits for the best, worst and most comical performances. And if you don’t want to sing, come to watch your friends and the committee make a fool of themselves in front of the mic, all in the name of charity!

Gulab jamun on a spoon… Three legged races… Wheelbarrow races… This isn’t just any sports day; this is Hindu Soc’s epic, fun filled sports day, guaranteed to leave your ribcage sore from laughter.

On the day, meet in SAF at 1pm in teams of 5 and we’ll make the grand trek all the way to Hyde Park to get this show on the road! You do NOT want to miss this!

THURSDAY ~ Bhajans

Take time out from the excitement of Sewa week, the deadlines, the exam stress and join us for a session of devotion to Lord Krishna as we sing bhajans. A spiritual, peaceful and relaxing event which will take away the hustle and bustle of your crazy university life!

It’ll be a wonderful event so bring your best singing voices with you.

FRIDAY ~ Ramayana

Come and watch our abridged version of the Ramayana starring… YOU!

We will be finishing Sewa Week with a BANG in this enjoyable, educational and unique event.

We’ll be re-enacting the story of Rama while getting members of the audience involved. This is a totally ad-lib event, with several roles assigned on the night. If you want to be Lord Krishna, act as Hanuman dada or simply watch your friends, the committee, and other years perform this epic story come along!

It’ll be a totally different, fun and memorable way to listen and watch the story of the Ramayana. And even better, it’s free!

NHSF Annual Sports Competition 2011

Want to participate in the annual NHSF Sports Competition and do Imperial HinduSoc proud by bringing back some silverware? Then by all means, come along and be part of this amazing experience. We regularly practise sports on Wednesday afternoons leading up to the main event, so come along to these sessions to get a feel of what to expect.

The event is being held at Loughborough University this year on Saturday, 5th March 2011.
